1. Why do I need a Dish Coat?
For better performance and longer life. There are many weather and environmental conditions that can reduce picture quality or even cause total picture loss for extended periods. Without a cover, water (rain, snow & ice) may build up on the surface of the dish and LNB lens, deflecting the signal and reducing picture quality. The weight of ice and snow can also shift the dish's alignment, severely reducing picture quality.
The heat of the sun and ultraviolet rays cause two problems. First, the build-up of heat at the LNB: this produces unwanted 'noise' or picture loss. Second, heat and UV rays can also accelerate the breakdown of electronic and plastic components. Debris such as blowing sand, leaves, dirt, bird and other animal droppings can also accumulate on an uncovered dish, causing signal loss.
All of these weather and environmental conditions can also reduce the lifespan of critical DSS components. A specially designed and manufactured dish cover -- like the DISH COAT helps you keep your picture and protects your investment as well.
2. Will the dish coat block my signal?
The Dish Coat uses a material specifically designed to be a satellite dish cover. With this material -- JATEX (TM), the signal passes through unaffected, with virtually no signal loss, while maintaining picture quality.
3. Can the Dish Coat prevent cloud cover?
The Dish Coat cannot prevent Cloud Cover; this is when the clouds are so thick and dense with water that the signal cant get through. Luckily, Cloud Cover is the smaller portion of the problem. Most of the time, you lose your picture due to a water build up on the dish and LNB.
